City-To-Village Circular Food System Partnerships

HUMANDREAM Foundation is building the governance architecture for circular food systems in low- and middle-income countries. We are actively seeking Phase 0 institutional partners, co-investors, and implementing partners for the City-to-Village Circular Food System (CTVCFS) initiative in Nairobi, Kenya — and for the Community Support Center program in South Kivu, DRC.

If your institution works in circular economy, food systems governance, agricultural research, cooperative development, climate finance, or development policy in LMIC contexts, we want to talk. The governance window is three to seven years. Institutional partnerships formed in Phase 0 carry permanent co-authorship in the Open Protocol Library.

INSTITUTIONAL RESEARCH PARTNER

For universities, research institutes, multilateral technical agencies, and circular economy networks engaged in food systems governance, agricultural certification, or LMIC cooperative development.

Protocol co-authorship. Soil baseline co-design. PhD action research affiliation. Peer-reviewed publication partnership.

Current Phase 0 targets: KALRO, University of Nairobi, Wageningen University Research, ICRISAT.

FUNDING PARTNER

For foundations, development finance institutions, fellowship programmes, government grant agencies, and impact investors at Phase 0 proof-of-concept or Phase 1 pilot scale.

Tier 1 ($250K–$500K): name in Open Protocol Library in perpetuity. Tier 2 ($50K–$249K): name a protocol. Tier 3 ($15K–$49K): founding community partner.

IMPLEMENTING PARTNER

For organizations with operational presence in Nairobi or rural Kenya: waste generators, cooperative societies, agricultural extension networks, biogas distributors, or composting operators.

Waste supply MOU. Cooperative off-take agreement. Technical support and certification co-design. Hub operational anchor role.

Current Phase 0 targets: Sanergy, KENAFF cooperative societies, Nairobi City County.
