We know we can end poverty because Millions of people have been lifted out of extreme poverty, since 2000. Global development works. We know peace is possible, too. Formal peace agreements in places like Colombia (2016) and Mozambique (2019) ended decades of violence. We know equality is moving forward with hundreds of millions of girls and boys have gained access to education through global gender-equity efforts. We know freedom is not optional with millions being protected from modern slavery, trafficking, and gender-based violence through long-term, systemic human-rights work.

These aren’t miracles. They’re designed outcomes — built into systems when people decide to act.

You collaborate across cultures, industries, and borders, complementing the vital work of on-the-ground organizations ensuring access to food and water, education, health care, and more, for the communities most in need. And you take action in ways that are sustainable — not symbolic.

Who are HUMANDREAMers and how can I join the movement?

HUMANDREAMers understand that lasting change requires collective power such as building schools in Mali so children have the tools and literacy they need to thrive; youth peacebuilding through the Great Lakes Youth Peace Summit in Burundi and across the region; lift millions out of poverty in Bangladesh through economic development and opportunity creation; building networks across 80+ countries to prevent trafficking, protect survivors, and reform laws;[over a billion children have been immunized through public–private health partnerships, preventing tens of millions of future deaths.

This may make it seem like HUMANDREAMers are super activists. And while some of them are, most are regular folks who don’t just hope for change, they participate in it. They understand big change is built from millions of small acts — aligned with one share dream. They advocate for girls’ education, call on leaders to change policy, share stories, volunteer, donate, sign petitions, invite friends, practice kindness in daily life and inspire others.

HUMANDREAM campaigns focus on improving the real-life conditions that shape a person’s well-being — things like access to clean water, nutritious food, and quality education. In line with the United Nations Global Goals, we also work to remove the deeper, systemic barriers that keep people trapped in poverty, conflict, human rights violations, and inequality.
